Centra Partners’ employees and residents of our multi-family managed properties worked to support several charities while hosting events over the last year. Events were held earlier in the year to provide toys to children of the Moore, Oklahoma tornado tragedy. Properties participated in the City of Houston free summer lunch program for children, feeding hundreds of kids during summer vacation. Several communities offered free English as a second language classes to residents. Property Managers worked with Herman Hospital System and community businesses to supply children with immunizations, backpacks and school supplies to start the school year. In October, all properties held activities and events to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. Free mammograms for residents were arranged, bake sales and raffles were held to raise money. Medical professionals offered seminars to residents on early detection and support and remember survivor activities were held. Elizabeth Hernandez, Manager of Sebring Apartments in Houston and staff raised the most money for one property. Liz is shown presenting the check for $1000 (photo) to the Rose Foundation. A donation was also made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In November and December, Centra Partners’ employees adopted three families for Christmas. Nine children and three Mom’s all received gifts and food donated from employees and residents. We are proud of our employees and of the love and support given to “pay it forward”.
